Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) is a registered Charity and was established in December 2000 as a non-profit organisation with the mission to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore with a strict no-kill policy.
Their mission is to improve the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore and they fulfil this through the rescuing and rehoming of such dogs, advocating sterilisation as a means of controlling the stray dog population, promoting responsible pet ownership, and highlighting the virtues of our local cross breed dogs aka Singapore Specials. They also collaborate with the authorities and other organisations to alleviate the plight of the local stray dog population that is currently estimated to be between 8,000 and 10,000.
