Tetra Test 7in1 enables you to quickly and reliably determine the seven most important water values in your aquarium in three simple steps: dip a test strip into the water, swirl it for about two seconds and tap off any excess water. Read off the most important information about the water values only one minute later. The colour chart on the packaging of the test strips can be used to evaluate whether the water parameters are within the safe range to maintain a biological balance for fish, plants and microorganisms in your aquarium. You can find the exact limit values and possible countermeasures in the enclosed instructions. To guarantee the function of the test strips do not touch the test fields or hold them under flowing water. As the latest addition, you can now also determine the carbon dioxide (CO2) level in the aquarium water with the Tetra Test 7in1. CO2 is especially required for your aquatic plants to thrive. Furthermore the pH level, general and carbonate hardness (GH + KH), nitrite (NO2-), nitrate (NO3-) as well as chlorine (Cl2) in the aquarium water are measured. Aquarium inhabitants react very sensitively to excessive changes in the pH value, which impacts their well-being. The general hardness affects the vital functions of fish, while the carbonate hardness has a direct influence on the stability of the pH value (pH buffer). To influence the pH and KH values in your aquarium Tetra, recommends Tetra pH/KH plus or Tetra pH/KH Minus, depending on the specific environmental needs of your fish.
